We had a fabulous show!
East Bay Modern Quilt Guild- 2012 Exhibition from patrick collins on Vimeo.
We got to enjoy wine & cheese while rubbing elbows with family and friends at our fabulous opening night gala. We held a public discussion about what modern quilting means to us, and on Stitch Modern Family Day, kids came to play and experience quilts and quilting. Fun was had by all, and we accomplished our goal to put our work out in the world!
Sadly, all good things must come to an end. BUT- we’ll be back next year, hopefully with even more community outreach and some new quilts. Woo-hoo!
Many, many thanks to Birgit for leading the charge, and energizing our group to put this on. And we are most grateful to Piedmont Center for the Arts for having us. Their space is open and light, and showed our work beautifully. Last but not least thanks to all our guild members who put in the hours watching the gallery, not to mention the work put into the beautiful quilts!
If you didn’t make it this year, keep us in mind for 2013 – I know we are looking forward to knocking your socks off…again!
