Where: Piedmont Center for The Arts
When: February 8, 2014, 1pm – 2:30pm
Please join the East Bay Modern Quilt Guild and moderator, Kim Andersson for a discussion highlighting how quilts have gone from being household objects to objet d’art. We have lined up another all-star panel for the Stitch Modern panel discussion this year! The panel participants are very respected professionals in the broad quilting arena: Kristy Zacharias, Angie Wilson, Nancy Bavor and Sue Fox. Read a little more about them below.
These are important contributors to the field and they are making it both their passion and their livelihood. We can’t wait to hear what they have to say about the art and (dirty word, though it can be) craft of working in the field of textile arts.
Kristy Zacharias is the Art Director of C&T Publishing – with a special focus on Modern Quilting.
Angie Wilson is an artist and director of Oakland Hand Made.
Nancy Bavor is a curator at the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles as well as an AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser and lecturer.
Sue Fox is an artist, quilter, teacher, and event organizer.
