Diversion Tactic

Man, those Mod Mood quilt curves are throwing me for a loop!  They bubble, pucker, misbehave in all sorts of ways… I spent 2 hours on one seam last night.  Granted it was 65″ long, but pins galore, marking, fussing, trimming here, adding fabric there, and it still did not come out how I wanted it to.  So, what’s a frustrated sewer going to do?  Something else,  ANYTHING else.  Enter… Kona charm squares in a dusty palette.  Crisis averted.

Challenge quilt - RK Kona Cotton dusty palette

Everyone at the EBMQG meeting in February got a charm pack, and is challenged to make a quilt with them.  The colors, admittedly, are not what I would have chosen, but they are growing on me.  I love a pile of possibilities!  I added Kona in Bone, you can see those strips sitting in their own pile.  Can’t wait to see what it shall become.  That feels better now, ready to tackle another monster curve – Yikes!
